C.H.U.F. Thank you letter

29th August 2023
Pete Pearson & Julie Finlay Dear Pete & Julie, A big thank you from CHUF! Thank you so much for choosing to support CHUF by holding a music night at Cambois Club in December. Your efforts to date have raised an amazing £1,225 we hope that you can pass our thanks on to everyone who helped with your fundraising. These funds will help CHUF to achieve its mission to support pioneering services that will positively impact heart families, inspire hope and enable Heart Heroes to reach their full potential. This is achieved by supporting the children and families who receive treatment by the Children’s Heart Unit based at Freeman Hospital and the many hospitals providing care for cardiac patients throughout the North of England by raising vital funds for large and small pieces of equipment, facilities, aftercare, salaries and research. CHUF’s charitable activities however go far beyond that of providing medical equipment and personnel. The Charity provides holistic care to the children by providing services and facilities that allow heart children to develop their skills and mature as any healthy child normally would. Babies who require cardiac surgery early in their lives often need to spend prolonged periods of time in hospital. These early months are critical for the gross motor development of the child to enable them to gain the strength and skills to roll, sit, crawl and stand. A recliner chair enables parents to engage in tummy time with their baby, by sitting reclined in the chair and having the baby lie on their chest as they would at home. This gives babies the comfort and closeness to their parent, not only promoting normal development but nurturing the bond of baby and parent. On behalf of everyone at CHUF please accept our sincere thanks, we are incredibly grateful for your support. With best wishes, Samantha Curtis Fundraising Administrator

C.H.U.F. Fundraising Event Saturday December 3rd. First of all we'd like to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported this event on Saturday December 3rd. Everyone who was there really enjoyed the music provided by The Usual Suspects and The Daisy Hill Band who freely gave up their time to come and play for us and they were absolutely amazing! So, a BIG THANK YOU to all of the guy's in the Band for turning out and doing that for us and we are all looking forward already to your returning gig next year. Also we'd like to thank everyone who donated prizes for the raffle and also to everyone who bought raffle tickets from us. We also ran the remaining names on the Name the Teddy card on Saturday as well, This was won by Geraldine at Cambois she won the teddy & the cash prize of £30. She gave the teddy bear to Nicci who was desperate to have it and Nicci then Nicci donated £20 to the Facebook fundraiser, so thank you Nicci. I'd like to also thank those members of my family who helped us by selling the Name Mr. Chufty cards and well done for the money you raised from those.
