On September 1972 Sherry and I were married at Newcastle Civic Centre,
the weather was a lovely sunny warm autumn day. The other photo was
taken later outside the Six Mile Bridge, Seaton Burn, which was where
we had our afternoon reception, and we also had an evening reception at
the Grand Hotel, Tynemouth for our friends that lived in North Tyneside.
I met Sherry in a work situation, so even though she's not here now with me, we had known each other for fifty years. As a married couple, we were
together for 49 years and 47 days, that's two thirds of our lives spent
together. Sherry officially passed away on November 15th, 2021 after
being in a coma and on a ventilator since the early hours of November 14th
2021. On our 25th Anniversary we had a large party in Morpeth, so for
many years we had both been looking forward to our fiftieth anniversary
in September 2022 sadly it was not to be.
